Praising Him!

Update: I just heard that Hudson is still doing just fine. The only medication he is on is tylenol if he gets a fever. It makes me feel good to hear this! :D

It's been hard for me this past couple of weeks. I am really missing Hudson and trying to prepare myself for the worst. I was talking to my DEAR friend in church who encouraged me to hope for the best and remember that God will give me the grace I need if/when I need it. It does me no good to keep reminding myself that we'll probably get kicked out again and this could go on and on.... Really, we could also get the CALL anytime. Why not hope for the best and enjoy the excitement of that?!

Also, Clint was saying that I should make sure I'm not putting my hope in Hudson. My hope needs to be in Christ; if I don't, I will be very disappointed. Only Christ can fill my needs - He ALONE!! I am SO excited to be with Hudson again and to have him home but I need to enjoy this time now. Joy in the journey!!

So I am going to PRAISE HIM now and continue to. I am going to talk and think about the exciting things of this journey...when I will get the call to go and bring my baby home!! I will also enjoy my girls and Clint - my friends and family who I love so much! I will try not to take this time too seriously and enjoy every moment...spending time outside with my girls - planting flowers!!! - going to the park - reading a good book - talking with friends - just hanging out with my honey - and more. Oh, and I should probably try to clean house and cook some too! :) Also, I want to focus on the needs of others - to love those around me and support them in whatever they are going through. I want to SHINE for Christ in everything I do. AND I don't want to let false guilt seep into my soul when I don't get it all done!! I am rambling - I think I will go sit with my Lord right now - I want HIS truth to sink way down deep in my soul. I love you all and I really really appreciate your prayers and support!!

Don't you feel like this adoption journey has grown you so much closer to the Lord? I do! He has it all plannedout just the way he knew it would go.Only trust in him...Ithink you got it and unfortunately sometimes it takes people a long time to figure "it" out! God speed!

I appreciated your comments today! Every time I come to your site, I cringe at the fact that I have stolen so many of your ideas. I want to ask for your forgiveness and hope that you take it as a compliment. Hopefully, I can be more creative in the future!

Jami,
I always find such words of wisdom on your blog. You are so mature and close to the Lord for such a young cute mama! You are right....we need to enjoy every day of this wait with those that we love, and we need to continue in our service to others. I am working on that myself.

I love you!!!!

Eli said he's tired of waiting on the court system, so he's going to call his Colombian contacts and arrange a coup to get Hudson and bring him home.
